This site is about one thing: extruder screws. The work is done by Technical Welding Services in Rochdale. We’ve been manufacturing and rebuilding screws since 1983.
What we do
Manufactured from 20 mm to 180 mm diameter, at any length, as a direct replacement for the OEM part.
Worn screws from 50 mm to 450 mm diameter, up to 6200 mm long, rebuilt to their as-new tolerances.
Barrier screws and screws with mixing sections, manufactured and refurbished.
Stellite, Colmonoy, nitriding, hard chrome, Armoloy and tungsten carbide.
No drawing? We measure the screw, draw it and keep the drawing on file for next time.
Screw out and cold, barrel cold and clean. Then we measure and give you a written report.
Who it’s for
We work for processors running extrusion, compounding, blown moulding or recycling lines, across the UK and beyond. We take any make of extruder, from Krauss Maffei and Davis Standard to Battenfeld, Boston Matthews, Plasmac and S&B.
Why it pays to know your screw
A screw wears slowly. Output and melt quality drop off before anyone notices. Once we know your screw and how fast it wears, you can book a refurb around production instead of losing the line to a breakdown.
